Similar to bad weather swept through the north-west the previous evening, Manchester City overwhelmed the visitors away at the Etihad. It was a emphatic 3-0 triumph for the City coach's side due to goals from Knaak, Bunny Shaw and Lauren Hemp. It was a performance that truly announced their leadership claims as they reinforced their place at the league summit.
